Administrative Volunteer

Volunteer at the IMPERIAL COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

Are you a retiree, or interested in law enforcement? Volunteering at the
Imperial County Sheriff's Office creates efficiencies for the agency and
improves services to the community.

Volunteers must pass a background check conducted by the Imperial County
Sheriff's Office. (No persons with felony or misdemeanor convictions
accepted.)

Hours: Varies, depending on assignment
Location: Varies
Qualifications: Good communication skills, reliable and trustworthy with
confidential information, and flexibility.

Criteria to Meet:

*         At least 18 years of age

*         Complete application submission <insert link to application>

*         Pass background check

*         Be fingerprinted (Live Scanned)

*         Be interviewed

*         Commit to a minimum of 20 hours per month

What will I do as a volunteer?

Administrative Volunteers will assist units with answering phone calls, data
entry, filing, typing, or providing assistance to citizens or visitors
(varies depending on assignment).


Do I need experience?

No. You will be trained and guided with the fundamentals of how the unit
processes its workload.


What are the hours to volunteer?

The sheriff's office will work with your schedule since several units are
open 24 hours a day.

*Volunteers perform a service without promise, expectation or receipt of
compensation for services rendered.
