On Thursday, January 17, 2019, Deputy Aristeo Valdez scheduled, coordinated and conducted a presentation to all of the Transitional Kindergarten (TK) classes at the Seaview Elementary school in Salton City. Deputy Valdez, Senior Deputy David Barboza and Sergeant Clint Erro spoke to the students about how Sheriff Deputies serve and protect their community and how to properly use 911; use of seatbelts was also a hot topic! This was a great opportunity for Deputies to answer some fun questions from the kids (do you have Police cats?) and be seen in a role different from enforcement action. The stickers, pencils, suckers and prize bags were a big hit with all. The Deputies were invited to come back at another time to visit Mrs. Martinez’ and Ms. Tagle’s classes to show the various vehicles we use to keep the County safe, as this was another frequently asked question.

On 12/14/18 at about 10:37 a.m. ICSO Investigators located a stolen vehicle in the city of El Centro which was occupied by two suspects.
